This package of Feta Cheese Culture is a 10 DCU package, by Danisco, made in France.  Contains approx 2 teaspoons of culture.   Use: 1/8 tsp per 1-2 quarts of milk.  1/4 tsp for 2-3 gallons of milk.  Our Feta recipe is included with purchase of this culture!

Lactococcus lactis subsp. lactis; Lactococcus lactis subsp. cremoris; Streptococcus salivarius subsp. thermophilus; Lactobacillus delbrueckii subsp. bulgaricus

1/4 tsp. treats 3 to 4 gallons;  1/8 tsp for 1-2 gallons.  Use this culture to make the most delicious Feta cheese... be careful of recipes for brine that call for too much salt. Check out our cheese basket molds to drain and form your feta.

Use 1/16 tsp for 1-2 quart milk for making a wonderful Yogurt too! This yogurt may be on the thin runny side, but if you prefer thicker yogurt, just drain some of the whey off through cheesecloth.  If you drain most of the whey, you will have a delicious yogurt cheese! Add herbs or other seasonings for a special treat!
