Fine Stainless Steel filter mesh with it's own built-in stand fits on top of cups and carafes and even gallon jars with opening at least 3" in diameter. The actual base is 4 " in diameter.
You can brew a robust cup coffee using a manual pour-over brewing method. Perfect for cold brew coffee. Also, use to brew a cup of tea. Use 2-3 scoops of ground coffee/tea and pour hot water in a circular motion over grounds. Watch fill level through open vents in the stand. Use more scoops when filling a carafe or thermos.
And easily can be used to filter the milk from your cows goats or sheep. Similar to the Medelco filter used for coffee and great for straining milk from the farm animals, but this one has it's own stand to sit over the jar, as long as the opening is between 3 and 4 inches.
