LyoPro MBD

The LyoPro MBD is a meso-thermo culture that is great for semi-hard cheeses like cheddar to softer cheese, sour cream and Butter Milk. It can also be suggested  for the production of cream cheese and goat cheese. Remember there are always a variety of cultures you can use to make your cheese, but it is all about personal preference on the outcome.

The MBD is from our LyoPro line of Non-GMO cultures manufactured in Italy providing the creamiest textures and great flavors.This culture is very similar to the Danisco Brand Meso 4001 - 4002.

Streptococcus salivarius subsp. thermophilus,
Lactococcus lactis subsp. lactis,
Lactococcus lactis subsp. cremoris,
Lactococcus lactis subsp. lactis biovar diacetylactis  

Application: Soft cheese, semi-hard cheese, quark types, sour cream and buttermilk.

 Use:  1/16 tsp per 1-3 gallons of milk. Contains: two tsp  Storage:  Best stored in Freezer for longevity, may store in frig when using it often.
